Job Announcement: Software Engineer

Position:

Software Engineer

Summary:

We’re seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and real-time features using Node.js and AWS Cloud Services. You’ll work closely with frontend developers to ensure a seamless user experience and will be responsible for code optimization, mentoring junior team members, and maintaining security compliance.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js.

Implement real-time features using WebSockets for a seamless user experience.

Work closely with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

Leverage AWS cloud services for scalable and resilient systems, including but not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.

Write reusable, testable, and efficient code.

Conduct performance tuning and stress testing and resolve latency issues.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.

Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers in the team.

Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.

Maintain up-to-date documentation for system design and implementation.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in backend development, with at least 3 years focused on Node.js.

Strong experience in AWS Cloud Services.

Proficient in implementing real-time features using WebSockets.

Familiarity with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.

Strong knowledge of databases, both SQL and NoSQL.

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
